Luc Janin

Born and raised in the Paris suburbs, I was immersed in the growing skateboard and graffiti subcultures of the 90s. Studied Graphic Design and Fine Art. Started working as an illustrator and graffiti artist (under the name Rëso) with a special love for huge murals. On moving to London I experimented with motion graphics and live action on “DIY” filmmaking projects, for clients like MTV. It was through directing music videos (and then commercials) that I moved my focus to live action and performance. I love to capture the raw authenticity of live action but am also obsessive when it comes to technical challenges in post-production or in-camera techniques. Even better if I can mix it all together and add some influences from my work as an artist. I guess that’s why I did this site. I wanted somewhere to put everything together. Because that is exactly what I do.
